It sets out to take viewers on a meandering series of events with a cast of characters and places loosely strung together, creating space for the audience to drift and gleam meaning in their own way. The project makes the clinical uses of lithium its muse, reimagining the element as a lens to view the mundane through.

UICA

(2021)

The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) was a contemporary art gallery in Grand Rapids, MI. During the spring of 2021 the gallery moved into the historic Woodbridge N. Ferris Building, creating a unique opportunity to refresh its identity and wayfinding. One of the organization's changes during the transition was the rebranding of the gallery’s gift shop. This separate yet unified sub-brand is welcoming and lighthearted, it served as a place for the community and students to shop locally made art, home goods, stationery, and art supplies.

Where is the Internet?

(2020)

Despite its widespread and constant presence in our lives, we are generally unaware to the physical infrastructure required to keep the Internet operational. Culturally we tend to think of the Internet above us; in the clouds where information flows freely from person to person, but where is the Internet really? This publication seeks to answer this question by going into the technology, structures, and corporations that enable and control our digital experiences, showing users the real world operations behind the Internet.
