Carter Teranes is a graphic designer and artist living and working in Chicago, IL. He creates process-driven and typographically led work with an emphasis on concept and craft. His approach considers how language, form, and systems shape and create meaning across print and digital media. He works with studios and independently in creating visual communication solutions across publication, identity, website, and type design. Currently he runs To Ti Esti, an independent publishing practice interested in exploring sequence, process, and the essence of what makes a book, a book. Under this name he produces limited edition publications that approach form as content.
