Gallery 4009: Rituals I Can’t Complete
Poster, brochure
2025
Gallery 4009 was an experimental apartment gallery located in Chicago, IL. The identity and print materials were created for the exhibition Rituals I Can’t Complete by Grace Papineau-Couture.
A foundational ethos of Gallery 4009 is that co–directors Emily Swenson and Carter Teranes play a role in each show as designers, adding to the context in which work is presented through conversation and print material. All materials for this show were printed on Risograph at Spudnik Press.

Co-created with Emily Swenson.

Ella and Cedric Steed were asked to create new works over a two-month period, during which they provided work-in-progress images. These images were used to highlight specific responses in the interview, visually connecting their evolving work to their ideas.

Iris
Publication
2021
A publication setting out to be the residue of our digital era. It strings together a loose narrative consisting of found information, history, individuals, and systems synthesized into a publication to try and remedy our collective confusion—a confusion not from our lack of knowing, but one from knowing too much.

Photography by Amman Khan.

UICA
Branding
2021
During the spring of 2021 the Urban Institute of Contemporary Art moved into the historic Woodbridge N. Ferris Building, creating a unique opportunity to refresh its identity and wayfinding. Among these projects was the need to reposition the gift store with a more student focused and welcoming identity.

Where is the Internet?
Publication
2020
Despite its widespread and constant presence in our lives, we are generally unaware to the physical infrastructure required to keep the Internet operational. Culturally we tend to think of the Internet above us; in the clouds where information flows freely from person to person, but where is the Internet really?
This publication seeks to answer this question by going into the technology, structures, and corporations that enable and control our digital experiences, showing users the real world operations behind the Internet.
