Carter Teranes is a freelance graphic designer living and working in Chicago, Illinois. He creates process-driven and typographically led work with an emphasis on concept and craft. His approach considers how language, form, and poetics shape and create meaning across print and digital media. He works solo and closely with teams in creating visual communication solutions across identity, website, print and type design.
Currently he runs To Ti Esti, an independent publishing practice interested in exploring sequence, process, and the essence of what makes a book, a book. Under this name he produces limited edition publications on his Risograph that approach form as content.
