20251 Hour, 19 Minutes

Project completed during Porto Design Summer School using a collection of stories from Paul Aster’s True Tales of American Life arranged by read time. Each page is limited to two hundred words, the average word count an average adult reads in one minute. The resulting publication in theory takes 1 hour and 19 minutes to complete. Accompanying images were created with screenshots from an MTV documentary that correspond to the time it takes to read each of the twenty four stories.
